Undergraduate Degrees

The Penn State School of Theatre's primary mission is preparing literate, well-trained Theatre artists, artisans, and craft persons for professional careers across the entertainment industry.

Penn State School of Theatre has several undergraduate degree programs -

*Our B.F.A. in Stage Management is a professional training program and was one of the first programs of its kind in the country.
*The B.F.A. in Design and Technology gives our students a professional course of study and the ability to work with professionals in our Theatre Arts Production Studio.
*The B.F.A. in Musical Theatre is one of the top programs in the country.
*The B.F.A. in Acting is a focused, professional training program that includes a required semester of study abroad at the Theatre Academy of London. 
*The B.A. degree in Theatre Studies develops artist-scholars who consider all aspects of the theatre event--from writing or devising a text, to finding and using space, to developing audiences, to performing..

Our B.F.A. programs are designed to help students prepare for direct entry into the professional world or graduate school. Those accepted into our B.F.A. programs embark on a rigorous four-year course of specialized study.
